On 28 Oct 2016 Janine, an Eastern Black rhino (D.b. michaeli) , came to her new home, Milwakee County Zoo (Wisconsin,USA).

She was born back in 2012 to first time parents, Anna/Azizi and Jomo, a breeding pair living in Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania, USA).

Milwaukee County zoo was formerly home to a pair of Southern black rhino (D.b.minor), Mimi and Brewster. Unfortunately, the male, Brewster, died at the beginning of the 2016, leaving alone his mate, Mimi, who still resides there.

The zoo will probably bred Janine (Josie) in the next future, probably welcoming a male in the years to come.
